I’m building Coached, exploring how psychology and AI can help us understand ourselves and the people around us. I also built Resume Worded, which has helped tens of millions of job seekers, and co-founded CareerSet, used by more than 100 universities worldwide.

I’ve been making websites since I was a kid, and building bootstrapped businesses for the past decade. I’m an engineer by training, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with design, too. I grew up in Nigeria, spent five years in India and eleven in London. I feel at home in quite a few places.

Coached

What interests me is understanding how we think, what uniquely motivates us, and how differently we’re wired. I’m building Coached to help people understand themselves and the people around them.

I call it a behavioral science lab. There’s so much I want to explore here, from our own blind spots to why we click with some people and struggle with others. AI gives us some pretty exciting ways to do that.

I started Resume Worded in 2017 when I was unhappy with my own career. What began as a side project has since helped tens of millions of job seekers globally. I also co-founded CareerSet, which is used by more than 100 wonderful universities around the world.

Both businesses were bootstrapped, and they’ve taught me everything I know about building and scaling a business. Resume Worded grew through a deep focus on SEO and product-led growth. I still run both, and the products have evolved like crazy over the past year thanks to AI.

I’m culturally confused and I love it

I grew up in Nigeria, going to an American school, spent five years in India, then moved to London at eighteen and stayed for eleven years. My accent has unconsciously changed about twelve times. It’s this weird cocktail of American phrases, British words and Indian nods.

These days I’m based in Dubai, but travel a lot between the US, London, India and somewhere new. I’ve been semi-nomadic at times, and I love the freedom, meeting random people and experiencing new cultures.

A lil’ about me: I like making stuff

I’m always trying new stuff. I don’t care too much about the domain, as long as there’s something new to figure out. Aside from careers and personality, I’ve made things in travel, edtech and investing.

Through scaling Resume Worded, I did a bit of everything: sales, partnerships, SEO, marketing, product, DevOps, finance and cringe posting on LinkedIn. Figuring out something hard in a new domain is basically my ideal day.

I’m a pretty relentless optimist. There’s a lot I still want to learn how to make. If you’re a creative, builder, designer, or just someone who doesn’t like getting boxed in, reach out!

Investing

I’m interested in numbers, probability and risk. That’s part of what draws me to investing, and what I enjoyed about poker.
